NOS installation done, not enough fuel

I have a 150 hp shot, but not enough fuel flow through the stock fuel 3/8 fuel line. I have a fuel pump and need to upgrade to 1/2 or 5/8. What would it take to upgrade the fuel line to those diameters? Any tips/suggestions? Should I go Aluminum or Steel? It seems like a lot of work to install a new fuel line from the tank to the front of the car.

put in a better pump, a 150 will be fine with the 3/8th" fuel line

Are you carbed or TPI?
Is your engine basicaly stock or somewhat or highly modified?
Help us help you.

If your engine is mildly modified or stock you should be fine with your stock lines.
Check/change your fuel filter if it isn't new and/or install a new fuel pump.

150 HP system should be fine on a stock engine with stock fel system parts in proper working condition.

If your engine is well modified, and is already taxxing the stock fuel system without nitrous it may be time to upgrade.

What you really need depends on what you already have.

Low pressure systems (carbs) benifit more from larger lines, especially between the tank and pump.

If you have a TPI (high pressure fuel system) then you will benifit more from a better pump.

Check to make sure your fuel lines are not kinked or crushed. Your pickup sock may be collapsed and dirty too

This is one are where it doesn't pay to scrimp. Install a new additional 3/8" fuel line, tank pick up, and electric pump like a Carter 7 psi 72 gph electric. The holley electric pumps are always undependable. Use a holley fuel regulator and a good gauge
to set fuel flow and pressure.
Do not try to piggy back the NOS onto the factory fuel line. It's just not worth it.
If you suspect the factory pump is starving the motor at high rpm replace it too. If carburated, replace the mechanical pump with a hi volume 6/9 psi mechanical pump (holley, edelbrock, Barry Grant) Don't forget a hi flow fuel filter. The Nitrous System needs a
constant fuel flow at the designed fuel presure or it can damage the motor. (lean out). When setup properly These 150 HP NOS
kits are reliable and safe, but when jerry rigged up, you can expect nothing but trouble.
