snailshell for a qjet

hey guys,
a few years back I read somewhere an article on a centrifugal charger for a carbed engine, it used a plastic box that surrounded the carb to build pressure inside. I was wondering if anyone knows who made this, is there a website showing one installed with numbers, and could I make one myself(cardboard, no, plaster, no, plastic, no, hmmm metal would be good right)or could I hook it up to the stock air cleaner. tai

They are kinda hard to find, but they do exist. Vortech makes one I think, that surrounds the entire carb, and your linkage goes inside of it somehow.

Ati makes a "hat" that seals on top of the carb but Im thinking you need special things done to the carb. Im not a carb guy so Im not sure what. Jester (on this board sometimes) could shed more light.

Good luck

thanks, I was thinking if I make a gasket for my stock air cleaner maybe I can get away with that, plus it would maybe hide the blower. hehe sleeper time.
