I drive an 88 IROC-Z with the bone stock. K&N air filter but that doesnt really change much. It is the L03 engine with no mods. I found a nitrous system through JEGS that will work on a GM 5.0L TBI motor. It is adjustable from 75 to 125 shot. Is this complete kit worth $550.00 ? Will it work on my stock L03, if not what mods do I absolutely have to make to get it to work?

If I did get a nitrous system with a 10lb. bottle and 100 shot how long will the bottle last if I emptied it in one shot? (assuming this wont blow up my motor or send me flying down the road at 150 MPH) How long will one bottle last if I gave it a 100 shot in the quarter mile for 5 seconds?; Just enough to get ahead of the guy I'm racing.

I think most people have seen the most famous ***** move out there "the fast and furious". When they use nitrous in the movie it spins the tires for a second while going down the road. Will it do this to my car with only a 100-125 shot? I hope not. OR are the guys in the movie supposedly running a 200-300 shot of nitrous ? Sorry its so long.

the 500$ i spent on a NOS kit was the best money i've ever spent on a power adder i say by all means get the kit, a 75-100 shot will be fine on your engine, but i wouldnt go any higher. a 10 lb bottle saying you only use it in 2nd and 3rd you can get 10-15 full 1/4 mile passes out of 1 bottle, also it will not be a throw you back in your seat tire spinning madness like in the fast and the furious only time i've seen the tires go up is if the car was having poor tracking and hit a 200 plus shot on a high HP engine, i had a 100 shot on my 400 and it would just chrip the tires. im sure nothing on your ride

It is at www.jegs.com I found it in a there winter catalog. It is part number 741-05153. It doesn't say anything about needing to mod anything.
"when used under wide open throttle, factory computerized sensing devices go into an open-loop mode, by-passing most computer controls. Thats where NOS jumps in."
Can anyone explain "open-loop" mode for me? A complete kit adjustable from 75-100 HP. The website says 100-150 HP. It is $550.00 A good deal?

I think that with a 100 shot you get about ten seconds per pound of nitous. Thats just how my local pro related it to me. I havent emptied a full bottle yet so I couldnt tell you for sure
