NOS Kit #5151, nitrous feed line too short??

I just finished installing the NOS Kit #5151 and I mounted the bottle in the lower part of the trunk. Everything went beautifully but did any of you have the problem of the nitrous feed line not reaching the solenoid when it was run under the car? What did you do to rememdy this? Thanks.

well it should have been long enough, but obviously sounds like it isn't. i wouldn't know what to tell you other than to (a. buy another line made longer or b. call nos and tell them, if it's a new kit and it's understandably short they should send you a replacement for your line.

still i would look to route it differently.

This was probably my biggest complaint of the 5151 kit. Depending on where you mount the bottle, the 14ft line they include is usually not long enough. I mounted my bottle in the spare tire compartment, and I had to special order a 15ft line. Measure how much more you need, and call NOS for a custom length. A word of warning, their customer service is THE WORST! If you are **** about your measurements, add about 6 inches. They are morons and will short you by about that much. They did it to me, several times, on several different installs.

I live 1 hour away from them, and they are still idiots when being face to face with them.

yeah- you can definately find a more efficient way to mount it, l think the way l went, was through the passenger side of the engine compartment from under the car, and l mounted the sollenoid assembly on the strut tower, where theres already threads all you have to do is slip the mounting plate over one of the three (or four) threads and add a nut. you should be able to hit the sollenoid with the line.....

I ordered another 6 ft. of 4AN nitrous hose and a 4AN union from NOS. Hope this works out.
