tbi nitrous
so i was looking through a summit catalog today and i was thinking about the deal on a tbi plate that fell through. and i found this:

and i got to thinking first off, would THAT work on my tbi with a big chrome air cleaner or would it spray into the top of the injectors..
then i got to thinking.. hmm fogger nozzles are only like 40 bucks... i could drill holes in MY air cleaners base like that and point nozzles into the butterflys. and i went further. edelbrock makes annular discharge nozzles. they shoot pretty straight. i could have them pointing pretty much down into the butterflys without impedeing on the injectors flow cone. i figure... 2 nozzles, a 50 shot setup in each one, this would feed a 50 shot to both banks equallly. right?
so i got to thinking. let me ask around. a friend said my intake is aluminum (stock 92 305 tbi) and that i can drill and tap it on the car and the aluminum wont hurt a thing in the engine. being soft and all. and it makes sense. he runs a company and says he drills and taps nitrous bosses / boost taps all the time. so would it be better to drill UNDER the tbi into the manifold on each bank roughly near where the two banks are in the uh.. open plenum are and have the nozzle there or shooting down the butterfly tract?
next thing..
beat to hell 150k mile 305. will it hold a 100 shot? if i use it properly , ie: above 3k rpms only...

put a drop base air cleaner on it and trim the stud coming out of the tb that holds the air cleaner. i know guys running a victor jr with drop base that fits under the stock hood. honestly, i'd buy something that works rather than screw around with a backyard nitrous system...and if a piece of that "soft" aluminum go into the oiling system and managed to get wedged between say a roller lifter and the cam...yeah, that could be bad. if your going to do drilling on the intake, take it off the motor.

how would it get into the oiling system?
it will fall into the runner. and go into the engine. aluminum is soft. so it wont hurt anything and go right out.
edit: is the plate cheap? cuz the fogger nozzle is only like 30 bucks.

The plate is NOT cheap I just looked into installing nitrous on my S10 and was debating spraying the fogger nozzle directly towards the TBI unit in the front (I already have the fogger nozzle and the plate ran in excess of 100 dollars!) I bought a Phenolic spacer as well to attempt to put the fogger nozzle in there, no dice the intake is a twin plane. I am probably just going to go with the fogger nozzle aimed at the TBI unit, cross my fingers and pray.

Another idea I had talked to a company who does throttle body mods about was installing a vacuum modulated fuel pressure regulator and running a Mustang style dry shot. If you get your wet shot done before me, write and tell me how it goes, if I beat you to it I'll be sure and keep you posted on how it works. PS I am installing a Holley Blue fuel pump inline with the factory pump to keep up with the fuel demand because they say the TBI pump will only flow enough to support around 300hp, you may want to consider upgrading pumps somehow.
