nitrous ppl inside plz

ok tom im heading out to the f-body nationals with my turbocharged v6 rs.ive gone a best of 12.6@112 on the turbo. The national street legal v6 f-body et record stands at 11.89(set by a supercharged/nitrous 4th gen 3.8).tom i am going to try to break this record.Since that 12.6 run(was on the speed limiter and didnt even know it,speed limiter is now disabled) i have droped about 400 pounds out of the car.and also installed a wet nitrous system 35-75 shot.
well my turbo takes a bit to spool in first gear due to my 4:10 rear gears.i can get about 7-9 psi on the line while staged but i soon as i launch and go about 10 ft i come out of boost.so my idea is to spray as i come off the line to spool the turbo.I will prolly spray all of first and 2nd gear.

now my question is should i spray as soon as i launch or should i wait till im down track a few ft,for u guys with automatics do u come off the spray on gear changes?any tips or suggestions would be greatly appreciated, ive only ever sed nitrous about 4 times before, and only down track in high gear on n/a engines

Spray whenever traction permits.

Do you have a window switch?
That would work great for you, find out when you are hooking up and hit the spray.

I spray as soon as I hit WOT, using a 125 hp shot. I have good traction so far.

I am going to spray a 140 shot and may have to delay the shot till I get to 2500.

Good luck!

I have a TTA motor in my car and Im using a 75 shot to spool the turbo. I spray right out the hole and turn it off at the end of second. Last friday it ran 7.35 in the 1/8.

Though I have a 350 TBI, I spray @ 10 mph, 2300 RPM, WOT. I can play with all these settings in the ecm, but this is when I have traction w/245/45 zr 17's

Hey, everyone has the right to try blow up their engines, if the’re really getting spray into the engine that soon then they’ll likely do that the first time the pedal it to control traction, and even if they do not they will eventually hammer out the bearings and spin one.

Real world, I’d bet that in most cases they’re fairly safe… they all seem to have automatic transmissions and even with a stock converter and no spray I’ve been seeing 2300rpm stall speeds coming off the line, and I’d bet that I’m well over 3000rpm by the time I’m at WOT, so I don’t think I could actually trigger an N2O setup with a properly adjusted WOT switch on a dragstrip pass before 3000rpm…

With that small of a shot I would say you could spray it as soon as you went WOT regardless of what RPM you're at. I spray my stock 350 TPI with a 150 shot off the line foot brake stalling it to 2000rpm, since you're boosting on the line and losing it down the track you should be able to spray directly out of the hole before the car bogs.
