in the middle of restoring my 89 t/a i am keeping the 5.o with 42k on it. im very interested in supercharhing it. bruce from hawks third gen says mid 12's is very possible with the right tuning. does anyone know of any supercharged 305 cars, and how did they run, hp? e/t's?

i didnt take mine to the track yet but it pulled 381hp and 400 ft/lbs with mods in sig, i had traction problems with just regular radials, put on drag radials and blew the rear

So are you running a FMU or did you tune through the computer? your sig says your running a 730 are you running it straight or on $58 ?

My 305TPI with a SLP cam and 10 LBS of boost ran 13.8 @ 104.25 MPH. But during that run I sheared the ring landings of the #2 piston, causing a hole in the piston.

I ran a 13.8@104 first time out with my stock 91 305 TPI, 8psi boost and SLP headers. I figure it might crack into the 12's with enough psi but not sure how long the motor would live like that. Mid 12's is pushing it, possible but unlikely for most.

well ounce and if it blows a new crate would be in the works, i just want to squeeze the 305 as much as i can, all bolt ons will go on the new block anyway, i think mid twelves is very possible, ive seen 11's on the stock block. 86z is in there with just bolt on's and a cam and heads, i also read i beleive in gm high tech, that a 305 because of its small cam is great for sc it could produce more boost than a 350 with a bigger cam.and not blow???
