N20 Purge question...

I have a 91 Z and am in the process of installing a NOS Cheater kit. The only problem I have is with the purge. I bought some brake line to use for my purge since I want a (V) purge. I have a 4" Harwood cowl hood (Bolt On) on the car and if I were to close the hood all the way, the inside of the hood will bend the purge lines against the cowl.

Can anyone show me pics of how they ran there (V) purge with a similar hood? Or give me some advice on what I can do besides drill into the hood to get the lines to clear?

Thanks.

Re: N20 Purge question...

Run a flexible (pvc?) line from the solenoid to the hood, leaving enough slack in the line for full rotation of the hood. Then connect that to the brake line that you run on the hood. This way you are not bending a metal line everytime you open the hood. I am using this method as it was described to me through DynoTune when I ordered there 2 way purge setup.

PVC?? Would vacuum line hold up to the Nitrous? When the hood is closed the flexible line will get pinched. Got a pic? Also, could you direct me to the link to dyno tune?

Re: N20 Purge question...

This is the kit that I bought to connect my purge solenoid. I don't actually have it ALL hookeup yet since the motor isn't in the car at this time.

Re: N20 Purge question...

I have the 4" Harwood Outlaw hood and a nitrous system. I used copper tubing and compression fittings to run the purge lines through the firewall to the space where the wipers are then up through that mesh grill.

When/if I get NOS, I'm mounting the purge aimed at the radiator, not out in the open. "NOS? What NOS? I'm NA!"

Lots of options. I am also running that dynotune nitrous dual purge kit - works great.

Stealth eh? I hear ya but I just couldn't resist dual plumes out the 'nostrils' of my T/A hood

Good luck with your plumbing project.
