How would I hook up twin turbo on 3.4?

Could someone explain how it would work? I got the idea of a single, but how would you fab up a twin? I've got one 2.2 Turbo from an Audi (high quality german stuff) and an intercooler, but how would I run a twin turbo setup? Would I have to fab every piece?

short answer: yes.

Long answer. Look at all the TT cars on this site. You hook up TT the same way weather you are using a V8 or a V6. Only difference is that the pipe going into your TB, or carb has to be longer due to your smaller motor.

Would I have to modify my chip, or Prom or whatever it's called in order to run it?

OMG yes. You would have to change quite a few things. I recomend you read a book on upgrading Thirdgens, or just spend a couple dozen hours on this forum. I have a book that I can't remember the name, but it has a blue camaro on the front of it, and it is the best book to teach a new hobiest the ropes about these cars. Great pics and walkthoughs too. I can get you the name if you are interested.

If you are gonna go twin turbo, and are gonna be making some real boost, like more than 4 psi, then I would really start looking into the rest of the car, tranny, syspention, rear end, wheels, and so on. If you are going to just do it for show, and have it only do a small amount of PSI, then stick with what you have till it breaks.

Again, I can't stess enough, you should really read as much as you can. Then ask specific questions that we can answer for you. Broad things like "what do i need to change" lead to braod answers and don't really get you anywhere.

Hope this helps.

nitrous is easier for big gains in a v6. but they are lots of people on here with turbo 6's it just takes alot of fab work. oh and money.

Re: How would I hook up twin turbo on 3.4?

twins arent much harder then a single turbo, once i get my broadband back ill post up pictures of my twin turbo setup on a 3.3L v6. its the same motor as a 3.4.
in order to fit the twin turbo headers i had to remove the ac compressor and mount my ps pump were the ac used to be. i also chose to moung mine up pretty high so if the hood is open and u were walking by u couldnt miss the twin t4 turbos sitting under the hood.

all in all if ur gonna go threw the trouble of doing twins u might as well go get some t3/t4's to do it with. cause that tiny turbo u have wont flow enough air on its own to make any real power, maybe 60hp @7 psi. and even 2 of them would only flow as much as a single t3/t4

with a single t3/t4 on a 2.8 i picked up just about 120 hp @ 7psi
