From: Doghouse ······································ Car: 1989 Formula 350 Vert Engine: 350 L98 Transmission: 700R4 Axle/Gears: B&W 3.27
Car: 87 Formula T-Top, 87 Formula HT
Engine: 5.1L TPI, 5.0L TPI
Transmission: 700R4, M5
Axle/Gears: Sag 3.73, B&W 3.45
Some numbers from Gale Banks
I was watching American Muscle car and they had an episode on "Ram Air" it included Turbo & superchargers. One thing (before I forget) that I got from the program were some numbers by Gale.
FOR EVERY 1# of boost you get a 7% increase in HP.
FOR EVERY 10° you can reduce the intake air temp you get a 1% increase in HP.
Some other things that I remember from talking to people:
FOR Every 100# you remove from your car = .1 sec in the Quarter
FOR Every 10HP you add to your engine = .1 sec in the Quarter
