Re: new member... few questions

Theres a few guys on this board that have roots style blower. You could find plenty by using the search feature. On another note, i would recommend a centrifigul style like a procharger or vortech, that way you can keep it under the stock hood, and it requires less fab work than the x-71 type blowers

Re: new member... few questions

thanks. i did use the search quite a bit already, im not new to forums at all, and i hate when newbs come along and ask the same few questions twice a day.

i do like the idea of a centri, and plan on putting a centri on my mustang, just want to go differant w. the maro. ive always liked roots/twinscrew blowers for multiple reasons, and if i had to throw a big hood on the maro to fit it then so be it, not a huge problem.

btw... im not here to start any **** w. any of you guys. i mentioned my mustang and yes i have a stang and a camaro, ive seen numerous times stang ppl come here or other camaro forums just to start ****, this is not the case... im here simply to learn more about my new car.

Re: new member... few questions

the roots blower like a 6-71 or 8-71 will come out of the hood regardless if it's a 4" cowl or not it'll still be higher than that. You will need aftermarket heads or the 86-down type bolt pattern to mate up with the blower lower intake. In 87-up years the center 2 holes on the heads are at a different angle. Any other questions just post up.
