Hey guys, I needed to ask a couple of quick questions that are a little undefined to me. First of all i need a couple of s/c questions. Im gonna go with a centrifugal s/c. With my 383 I want around 400 horses n/a. With the s/c around the 500's. Wat size/boost s/c would i roughly be looking at where i need around a 100hp gain. Also is a 9.5 compression good? im learnin slowly and im just makin sure what im doing is good. What kinda carb would do good in this situation? Oh and i may not be runnin the s/c right off the bat. Is there something that would prohibit me from doing this like my carb or something of the sort

 

you're CR is fine as long as you stay around 7psi and you should probably intercool it, 500hp should be a snap at 7 psi on a 400hp motor already. I would recommend a P1SC procharger.

im running a 383 with about 9.8:1 compression and a Procharger P1sc with a 2 core intercooler. i made 350rwhp with a chip that wasnt correct to my specs. calculations said i should get a 208hp gain with my 9psi pulley but i have not gotten to a dyno yet.
