I ran out of gear in the 1/4, which don't bother me much because I don't live very close to a 1/4 mile track. There are 3 8th mile tracks within an hour of my house.

 

Thats pretty good. I have always wondered what a kinda stock 305 with a 150 shot would be like. Now just think if you just put a little but of money into a 350.

 

It wouldn't go all that much better.

I will beat on this thing till it blows. I am going to up the shot 50 hp each time I take it back to the track (if the plate will flow more than it is now) Then I will put a LT1 in it that I have.

I have put mac shorty headers and off road y pipe. Edlebrocke tbi intake K&N open air filter. and a used compu cam. (don't know the specs but it's very small) Had the car tuned and spraying a 150 shot on it.

You can tell how much I ran out of gear in the 1/4 your 13.1 pass was at 103 I went a 101 with the 12.49

Good luck on getting your tranny fixed and get it tuned for the spray. Mine was way rich when we first started messing with it going by the jet chart.

 

305 + 180 shot in my buddies 82' camaro.

 

cool good job all of you sticking with 305s and doing nitrous. they all looks good and perform good. last video is awesome badass 305 for sure.

 

That 305 wasn't stock either, ED Rpm heads Comp NX 240/253 @.050 cam,1.5 full rollers,Victor Jr. intake,Mighty Demon 750 mechanical carb,Hooker headers,3.5" exhaust into a 3" flow at the end. 3.70 gears in a 9 bolt with 255/50R16 drag radials.

P.S. it was set-up for nitrous and rings gapped accordingly with the 305. Its a buddies car,it now has a 355 with the same components ie. rods,rockers,cam,flywheel and with a single 250 shot and Brodix heads/intake. Everything else is the same and the same cam too!

 

yea i figured as much
