ATI Procharger D1SC bracket question.

I have the opportunity to pick up a D1sc at a VERY good price. It was installed on an LT1 car and comes with the "back bracket" but not the front one, where can I purchase brackets to install this on my 89 style TPI setup and what kind of cost is associated with the bracketry/plumbing?

Procharger for the brackets and stuff. I believe the head unit would also have to be sent to Procharger so that the slinger could be switched to the right place for L-98 F-body application. You're looking at a lot of money to buy all of the need pieces and such.

It would be about $150 to re-clock the blower, $450 for the correct brackets, and expect $25 - $35 per I/C tube.

Re: ATI Procharger D1SC bracket question.

I can do the plumbing to the TB myself, that's no biggie; what do you mean by reclocking the blower? Do the LT1 setups and the TPI's mount differently? I'm not savy to supercharging but if the brackets cost 150 and I can get the rest of the stuff done for under 450 I'm still WELL below the cost of a new kit on it. I'de really like to get the blower sent in and checked, I know it ran good boost when it was on the car but just in case. Does anyone know if I have to run an FMU on this setup or would it be best to tune a prom for it?

Re: ATI Procharger D1SC bracket question.

On the self-contained head units such as the D1SC, there is an oil slinger in the bottom of the blower. There are 3 positions for the blower/oil slinger to mount. On the LT1 setup, the blower sits at the 12:00 position. On the L98 setup, the blower sits at the 2:00 position. If you take an LT1 blower and put it in the L98 bracket, the slinger won't be submerged in the oil and the gears and bearings won't get any lubrication.
