304 / 321 stainless steel v-band assemblies

Anyone know where you can get 304 / 321 3" stainless steel v-band assemblies online? I see that just about everyone on Ebay has the China 3" S/S assemblies. I am not impressed with the material on the flange or the cheap clamp.
Mandrel bend solutions seems to have good flanges & clamps.
Racepartsolutions.com assemblies look like the Ebay China assemblies.

Is Mandrel bend solutions the only one that carries quality assemblies. Are there any other companies that have them with that quality?

I am doing a 3" crossover pipe out of 304 stainless and would like to use a good clamp setup.

Get ahold of Burn's Stainless Steel. They're the schiznit when it comes to stainless weldup and fabrication components for exhaust! Expensive though. For cheap DOM tubing bends, check Global Technologies. I buy alot of aluminum tubing bends from them for the custom aluminum street & drag radiators I build but I'm pretty sure they do stainless as well. You'll save money getting the bends from them and the fittings and flanges from Burns. Burns also has conical transitions for tubing and all kinds of flanges. Both companies have online catalogs. Well, there you go! Good luck with your project. Topradman, dba., Best Radiator Repair, Warehouse & Custom Muffler Ctr. and home of the "BAD A.S.S" series aluminum radiators.......Take it easy

I buy from Global tech also. I have looked at Burns but the prices were up there. Looked like the same quality as MBSolutions. Global Tech's stainless is priced too high. The alum. price is good.

Do you have room to do a slip fit with a band clamp. I mean, take the peice you're working with and expand to slide over same size, drill a hole in the expanded peice and tig weld a spot weld to hold the sleeve and then expand the other peice you're joining to and expand it to slip over the insert. Then, you have a premium slip joint you can use a stainless band clamp on and it doesn't depend on the band clamp to be tightened so tight. I have built exhaust systems like this that have a nice insert attached to one side of each joint and it allows it to slip apart and back together very nicely and the band clamp doesn't take the torture of the direct exhaust gas on it and the slip fit is the same size on both pipes so the clamp doesn't distort. Just a thought if you have the room....??

Re: 304 / 321 stainless steel v-band assemblies

Thanks for the slip fit idea. I don't have room for the slip in piece near the frame. The MBS v-band assemblies seem like they are the best I can find vs. price. I am going to give them a try. They are 304 S/S and the clamps are USA made.
