91rss, youre going to spend more money on a DIY kit for a procharger (P1SC,D1SC,P1,D1,ETC) than you would ordering from Procharger. IF you think you can get a DIY mounting bracket, spacer posts, pullies for a cheaper cost hats off to you for getting that done. I just don't see it happening. Have you considered a full bolt in kit from them? They're around 3200 right now I believe with a 2 core intercooler.

Depends what we call a 'kit' and what his resources are. I think he can save
about $1k if he shops around.

Here is what I did.

SC Mounting Bracket, 1 idler, Air filter, spacers, some bolts, intake tubing, silicone couplers, clamps, hood prop relocation bracket. $575.

Blower Pulleys used ebay $60

Misc Hardware, idler pulley, $70

2-Bar map sensor $65

Junkyard BOV out of a Saab $10

Walbro 255lph high pressure pump is $140

'90+ Hood prop and brackets, $45
(Corvette thing, ignore it)

I deleted the return line filter, and swapped the lines for some -6an
in case I go FMU in the future. That ran me about $80

Blower head unit cost me $800.

So I'm in about $1,845 for a non-intercooled setup. Figure $1,800 for a thirdgen since you guys don't have to change your hood prop

Add about $600 for an intercooler (air to air or air to water). If you search I did a FMIC back in '04 on my Formula. It can be done even cheaper now.

I don't know if a procharger head unit goes for more than $800 or less. I went with powerdyne because of the 'silent drive' was appealing, since my old Vortech used to drive me batty, and I hated the oil plumbing.

I always found Vortech's claim of "Quiet" hilarious, as they're quiet V2 is just as loud as they're other units lol. However, I've never really heard a powerdyne before, as nobody around here runs one. Do you have any vids, and/or sounds of the engine with it at idle Joe, as I'd really like to hear it.....

I can probably record something for ya. The blower is dead quiet. All you hear is the wind. It uses a internal cog belt.

Of course, this also means that much more than 10psi and the belt will snap, but
I can't run that much boost anyway.
