Single turbo w/ MAF or speed density EFI ?

For a single turbo SBC application in the 550hp vicinity, is a MAF based EFI system better to use than a speed density based EFI ?

I expect to run boost in the 7 to 12 psi range.

Once I finish this build, I don't mind spending $500 on a professional tuner to dial everything in for me.

What I don't want is endless amounts of tuning and tinkering, or a system that a professional tuner can't get to work well because it doesn't work well under boost.

If I ever change this build, which I doubt, it will be a one-time change to a dual turbo setup with better flowing aluminum heads, years down the road. In which case, whatever EFI system I get now, will need a major upgrade or replacement anyway.

From what I've read so far, MAF is more self-tuning and adaptable to different driving conditions, but speed density seems more popular with the hard core speed junkies.

The Mass-Flo, Holley Commander 950, and Accel DFI systems have my interest peaked. I'm intrigued by the mass-flo system claims to be self-tuning, but in a boosted application I'm not so sure it can deliver. FAST and BigStuff 3 look great, but above my budget of 3K for a fuel and spark system.

Any of the aftermarket systems that are 'boost friendly' will be fine. The OEM stuff works but requires more tinkering, but is nearly free.
