Engine compressions and supercharge

As I wrote before I am stiil searching for the right engine for a root supercharge setup, I eliminated the gm zz383 because it has hypereutectic flat top pistons.I found this a little strange because they use forged crank shaft but no forged pistons. Anyhow zz383's compression was suitable for a supercharger setup, it has a 9.1/1 compression ratio but again because it has hypereutectic flat top pistons I decided to not to buy it according to the things that I have learned from you people...

So what now??

GM zz383 was 425 hp which is enough for a 383, I think...

I am still searching for an engine but because I do not know what exactly that the engine should have for a supercharge setup, I need your advice people...

Can you advice me an engine that can work fine with edelbrock e series, or weinlend superchargers?

I am starting to think about that I am going to have to buy the parts sepeatly and build the engine by my self but I have no option like that because I live in europe... Maybe I can do that: I will be in San Diego for 3 month starting june 15, if any of you advice me a place or want to help me about this issuei I can build the engine in US...

Any help would be great, Thank you and good luck with your engines
