I am about to purchase a 1985 Iroc-z it is an automatic 305 TPI. I am planned on making it louder and faster for the most part faster. I was wondering what would be the best thing to do to the engine to give it that extra power without a supercharger. Any replies will be helpful. Thanks

 

The best thing would be to drop a 350 crate motor in it for the most power. If you didn't want to go that route, I would suggest all new exhaust, intake, heads and cam, better gears. That should be a good start, and a good street car.
