Picking a turbo, suggestions?
Ive decided to try my hand at going turbo and would like some input on what turbo I should be looking for. Im putting it on my 305 with stock heads,416 castings, and still around the same stock compression. Performer RPM intake and a 600 holley. Im going with "budget " in mind so it doesnt have to be top shelf stuff. I know there are other things I will have to change but I will deal with that when I get to that point.

Would help if we have some sort of goal in mind first. Best I can say is that there's a couple of newer mustangs running a single 70 or 72mm turbo around 15psi for a mid/low 10 second 1/4-mile.

Not planning to make a monster,just want to have fun. Right now the car runs 15.02 on motor and 12.90 on a 150 shot. I would like to get it into the 12's. It makes 214hp/23xtq na and the nitrous puts it to 289hp/34xtq. I would like to keep it close to those numbers and be dependable.

For a budget turbo the master power T70 #810015 would probably be a good bet.
For reference when reading compressor maps:
10 psi = Pressure ratio of about 1.7
305ci @ 6500 rpm = 50lbs/min of air
@5500 = 42lbs/min
@4500 = 35lbs/min
