plug wires to use with extreme heat.

what plug wires if anything special are people running with turbo set ups. I looked on summit and didnt see anything that was specific for applications like turbos. the moroso race wires seemed to have the highest heat resistance and had protective sleeves to go with my guards I already have that my msd 8.5 wires melted under with out touching. thought about the accell extreme wires but they looked like a regular wire with the sleeves I already got.

I have used Moroso wires since the 1990s and never had a problem with them.

Re: plug wires to use with extreme heat.

that is good to know since I just ordered them through summit and were 150.00 the most I have ever paid for a set of plug wires by far. I ran old moroso blue max ones 15 yrs ago and they were the worst ohm per foot out of any of them during that time but know these new race ones are way better and every single nascar team only uses them so that says something. can you check out my hot side glowing post and see what you think, junkcltr.

Accel has a new set with smaller porcelain boots and high temp wire. I have melted too many boots with my setup. I now run the porcelain boots on the problem wires. No more problems.

I have a set of the moroso "Race" wires with protective wrap to protect from the headers, they look cool (I havent used them yet) and I have a friend who uses the same thing... He hasnt had any problems yet...

yeah sounds like the ones i just got from summit. 150 bucks and 60 for the heat sleeves that are summit brand. I know jacobs used to have a set of ceramic boots and high temp wires that were for turbo applications but coulndt find them.
