nitrous plate or nozzle??
questsion for guys that have actually used any one of these type of systems!
thinking of getting a n2o kit but have never used one before so what are the pros and cons of each system ? been looking at the NOS 05151 plate kit and
nozzel kits from various brands(have not picked a brand yet) any insight is much appreciated, thanks guys......probably looking at 100-125 shot also does the plate kit fit 52-58mm tb??

Re: nitrous plate or nozzle??
I've ran the nitrous express shark nozzle before and it is an excellent system and extremely easy to set up. It provides excellent fuel/nitrous metering and it makes it very easy to adjust you nitrous output. And if you ever want to go beyond 150 hp shot all you have to do is add a second nozzle. The downfall of it is you have to drill a hole in you intake tube close to your throttle body. Or you can run a two stages. Example 75hp to get you going and 150hp on top end with the nozzle systems.
If you use the plate system, you have to remove the t/b. Install the plate, then install the rest of the system and a spacer on your throttle cable. The downfall is the most hp you can get out of a TPI plate system is 150hp and it is more difficult to go beyond that.

Re: nitrous plate or nozzle??
Actually the NOS spray bar plate will do 250hp, the older twin nozzle plates are pretty much limitless. I have done both setups (nozzle drilled in the back of MAF housing and spray bar plate) on my car, I didn't like the nozzle as much. I originally went with the nozzle because of all the talk of the plate shooting nitrous past the first 2 runners and picking on the cylinder 2 and 4, my car slowed down with a NOS fogger nozzle jetted the same as the plate was and the hit wasn't as violent. I went back to the plate setup after this. The one other BIG consideration is that if you every accidently spray the nitrous with a nozzle setup, your manifold, air intake/maf, WILL explode. If you accidently spray the plate the car will rev up. Both situations will be bad but a plate behind the throttle blades is safer. Really up to 150 either setup will work ok, after that you should really consider a direct port especially if you're doing TPI, the TPI intake is like a roller coaster, fuel and nitrous really doesn't like to stay suspended in it. I myself have never done a direct port but the concept really applies to the crazy TPI intake layout.

Re: nitrous plate or nozzle??
i dont think the twin nozzle plate is avail any more, at least all the pics of the plate system now all show it as being the "spray bar type", should i even consider this style? by the way i am running a stealthram intake instead of a TPI intake, any other info whould be great thanks
P.S. im looking at MAX 150hp probably gonna do a 100-125hp

I would go with the NOS plate setup.

As long as you have a wide open throttle activation switch or have a RPM based activation like mine you should never have a problem with the "Explosion Effect" that he was talking about.

I have the NOS plate/bar set up. I like it. I also have the older plate/twin nozel setup if your interested. You will need to bend new lines for it though.
