Turbo oil return pump
Turbo oil return pump
Thanks for the useful information. I have a Buick Turbo Regal. It now has a different than stock set-up. I wanted to explore the possibility of assisted oil evac from the turbo since I suspect it is not draining well due to the convoluted path of the line plus the restrictive nature of the fitting at the pan. I wanted to find some options for the pump. There were several, and much more good tech info. Thanks again. Check out our website at mgnta.com.

Re: Turbo oil return pump
Mocal has some pumps you can use. I dont like their $185 pump (17-522HT) .. I'd rather spend the $345 and get a good heavy duty pump like the 17-530SL.

well if you have a electric fuel pump...just run the oil drain line in -10 to the fuel pump block off plate...if you have one...call it a day...
Re: Turbo oil return pump
Thanks guys. I appreciate the help from guys that have a different car than mine. It's good to see that kind of spirit, instead of the same old thing like get a camaro instead. In reference to the Mocal suggestion. That is the pump I will be going with. It is also offered from (TurboWerks) as the (EXA Pump), same price. To respond to the suggestion for draining it to the FP block off plate if I have one. I do, and have considered that option on other GNs that were more race cars. It requires access to a very blocked off area if the car has the stock bracketry in place. The standard practice is to run the drain to the pan if using a Stage-2 engine. The Stage engines have an oil gallery in the area that the stock engine turbo drain drain would go, in the front of the intake valley. There are some pictures of our cars on our site. mgnta.com
