Getting ready to build a set of headers for a turbo, what do I need for material?
Do headers/ manifolds for turbo's need to be of special tube or will say a set of Hedman Hustler weld up headers work as a basis? I am looking at building a set in the very near future and hope to get some help beforehand.... Any suggestions that may help me or save me a bunch of grief? Thanks guys
I should have added, it will be for a single turbo set-up..

I think the biggest thing is that people preferably use thicker metal such as 3/8" or 1/2" thick flange and probably 14 gauge tube. Asside from that, I'm going to see how using my hedman shorty headers and some normal exhaust pipe works out.

I used log style manifolds. They were compact, very thick, and easy to modify for the turbo. They are also strong enough to hold the weight of the turbo without extra bracing. The collector was 2-1/2" OD so I used the same OD tubing for the crossover.
