turbo or TT possible with stock ecm????
is it possible to run a turbo setup with 1989 chipped pcm and stock maf?
expect to run 4 to 6 psi on a 1996 lt-1 engine with distributor in the rear and trans am 89 pcm obd1- retro fit
i know im gonna need big injectors, big fuel pump, fuel pressure regulator, etc.
and my chip guy alvin at pcmforless.com told me that i will max the maf.
and will not burn me a chip for that setup at distance.
any issues?
in just looking around if the project could be possible before i waste money.

Possible yes, together with a MSD BTM and a FMU you could probably get some good results with alot of tuning....
But you should consider swapping to a SD system, 730ECM and $59code or a DFI unit...........that would be better.......
my opinion.......

FMU = fuel manage unit, raises the Fuel pressure depending on boost, higher boost -> higher Fuel pressure -> more fuel
730ecm is a ECM unit from ex TPI 90-92 but is used in many others....
$59code is a "chip" code developed from $58code from a GMC Syclone, it can be used in a 730ECM and allows fuel and spark tuning up to 30psi of boost ans closed loop with WBO2......
DFI= stand alone ECM, Accel, FAST, Holley, Megasquirt, electromotive, Bigstuff3, NIRA and many others..........
