better pistons more boost

Well, my rings went out on my pistons just the other day, so looks like i need to replace the rings, i figured i might as well change the pistons to forged and drop the compression and change the cam. anyone have any kind of input on what size cam for it and what pistons? i would like to push somewhere near 15-20psi of boost. right now the current setup is 4340 forged crank, forged rods, and hypercautic pistons. my cam is a 222/230 with 509/528 lift with 112. the rest of the motor is a bbk 52mm throttle body and accel superram fast burn 62cc heads 210cc with 1.5roller rockers and a d1sc blower. current compression 9.5 to 1 with about 4 to 5psi of boost. any input appreciated.

What do you mean, your rings "went out" ? Rings don't usually just fail on their own? Are they polishing the bores, or did you shatter a piston or...? Why do you think they failed?
If you have a 383 with 62cc heads, you'll have a hell of time getting your CR very low. I think you can get Keith Black hyper pistons with a 30cc dish, but i'm not sure who makes forged ones with a dish nearly that big?

If that's a roller cam, i'd leave it, that's a pretty good match already i'd say.

well the car is smoking white smoke badly, i pretty sure its the piston rings even though i have 10k miles on the motor only.

Smoking white? I don't know about that. Rings don't just up and fail, and if they did, you'd be blowing blue, not white. White tells me head gasket. Pull some plugs and see what they look like. If one side of the engine is clean, check the intake gasket over there, then the head gasket. You can do a compression test to check the rings.

...Unless you're looking for an excuse to tear down the motor and replace some go fast parts, then just ignore me...

white smoke is almost certainly a head gasket.

Diamond makes a good dish piston, aren't too expensive either

well, i dont have any coolant coming out the exhaust smells like oil burning. it puffs alot of smoke out the hood and exhaust. if i dont have to tear the motor i would rather not. but i do have metal head gaskets and there is no signs of any coolant leaking just burning oil smell real bad.

Do a leakdown test on the engine..this will tell you what is leaking......
