SUPERCHARGE BUILD QUESTIONS!?!?
357 sbc with forged 5.7 rods and dished forged pistons(.040). forged crank splayed main caps. retro fit roller cam now i am gonna be throwing 15-20 psi in this engine the heads i am lookin at are afr alminum 76cc 215cc intake port heads. that will make my compression around a 8:6.1 so i think that will be low enough for the 20psi right? as soon as i get a answer i am buying them so just lookin for some pointers the car is gonna be street strip so i can rap these gas *** people that buy vettes so they can beat every one eat my **** ****ers lol

Re: SUPERCHARGE BUILD QUESTIONS!?!?
I know with an intercooler that's more than low enough for 20psi on pump gas. Depending on the kind of supercharger, it might be usable without an intercooler too, but also make less power that way. I usually just go by prochargers graph on compression and boost, since I've found it to be a good rule of thumb kind of thing.

Re: SUPERCHARGE BUILD QUESTIONS!?!?
Only way I'm guessing you're going to push 20psi into a 357 with an intercooler (atleast by using a Procharger) will be a 3.40 pulley, 3 core intercooler and a F1 headunit. I don't think you'll get there with a D1SC. A D1SC with the pulley and intercooler I'm guessing will get you 14psi max. You get a 3 core intercooler and you could run 10-15psi on 93 octane all day long. I ran 9psi on a 9.8:1 motor for almost 3 years on 93 octane and only a 2 core intercooler, no issues.
The motor I just built will be a 9.6:1 motor and I plan on putting at least 10psi on it, although its a 383.

Re: SUPERCHARGE BUILD QUESTIONS!?!?
Will deff. be enough head. Prob. over kill on a 357sbc. If its more street then strip.
Whats your HP / ET goals? What intake / What size turbos / what cam / converter / gears ?
The complete combo has to work together not just a huge head on a 357.

I would not worry to much about the size of the head . With forced induction you will not really see much benefit from a bigger head until you start going bigger cubes and superchargers.
