Aluminized pipe for turbo?

Has anyone tried the cheaper way of using aluminized pipe from the local stores for a turbo system?

Yes, lots of people at theturboforums have done it. I think you will find that you can get a box of mistake bends off of ebay cheaper than buying at a local auto store.

Well I work at one. I have a set of turbo headers that I have had for some time now and while putting a few things away today at work, I noticed we had everything I would need to weld together the hot side for a kit, minus a y junction and the flange itself.
