nitrous system opinions

About to pull the tired 305 out of my 87 TA and swap it for a pontiac 400. I've also decided that if I'm going to go through all the trouble I'm gonna go all out and put it on the bottle as well. I've never ran nitrous before and want some opinions on a good system. I'm going to be running a holley street avenger carb and an edelbrock torker 2 manifold. thanks.

Re: nitrous system opinions

Any carb style plate kit will work, look at NOS HSW NX Zex etc. Get a purge, a heater or pusher setup, ignition box like mallory 685 or msd digi6, a controller (take your pick there's lots), 7 or 8 heat plugs, and an afr gauge.

Running nitrous with all the safety features will cost $1K plus...

Re: nitrous system opinions

Had a torker 2 on the 383 for awhile with nitrous and swapped it to a super victor. Noticed a huge difference as far as the distribution to the cylinders once the super victor was on. I would not run the torker 2
