two questions on adding a twin turbo system
I wanted to get a tt system off ebay, nothing to make to much power, but something that could run on low boost pressure and give me the bragging rights of a twin turboed 5.0 v8 and a little extra power. My questions are
1.) My dad says that any boost would damage my engines stock internals, and blow the seals or the head gaskets. I was wondering if this would be true and if I could fix it. The engine only has 134k miles on it. And I was planning on changing out the head gaskets when id be putting in a new cam and adding new headers, seeing as id already have the top end partially torn down.
2.) Which of the many tt kits on ebay (company wise, and picture wise/what's included in the kit) would be the best one. Thanks!

Re: two questions on adding a twin turbo system
all those "kits" on ebay are the same pretty much....just stamped with the name of different vendors. As far as those go, its a big hit and miss, some guys(even on this board) and other forums have had luck with them. A tired stock motor with 134k miles on it is not exactly boost material lol but with some research and careful tuning, it could work OK at say 6psi or so, no more unless you don't care about the motor and its just a learning tool for right now
