Choice of two engines help/opinion

I have a D1SC intercooled SC, AFR 195, 75cc combustion chamber, Walbro 225, FMU, Magnafuel boost referrenced regulator, 230/236 113 cam, BS3 computer. (That maybe bad for me 'cause there is no help.) in a 1986 IROC Z that will be mostly driven on the street, maybe to the track once or twice. There are two engine choices for the same money

Block 1 is a 383 built for a SC.

Block: GM 1 pc roller cam block, thermally cleaned and Stainless Steel Shot. Inspected by MPI process. Decked, bored, honed with torque-plates and pressure washed. Durabond cam bearings and pioneer brass freeze plugs installed. 4-bolt main caps with ARP main studs.
Block is O-ringed.

Crank: Eagle 4340 Forged Steel, internal balanced front and rear
Rods: Eagle forged 4340 H-beam, 5.7” length, floating pin
Pistons: SRP forged blower pistons
Rings: Mahle Plasma rings
Bearings: ACL H-series Main and Rod Bearings
Core Plugs: Brass Pioneer core plugs

Block 2 is a 396

Block: GM 1 pc roller cam block, thermally cleaned and Stainless Steel Shot. Inspected by MPI process. Decked, bored, honed with torque-plates and pressure washed. Durabond cam bearings and pioneer brass freeze plugs installed. 4-bolt main caps and ARP main studs.

Crank: Eagle 4340 forged steel, internal balanced front and rear
Rods: Eagle forged 4340 H-beam, 6” length, floating pin.
Pistons: Mahle forged piston with anti-friction coating
Rings: Mahle Plasma rings
Bearings: ACL H-series Main and Rod Bearings
Core Plugs: Brass Pioneer core plugs
Main Studs: ARP performance main studs

Any thoughts?

Thanks,

Steve King

383. 396 with 6" rod probably has a less desireable ring placement.
