I thought you are not supposed to get permagrin till after its on the car?

..... and then the tuning begins. Forget what you learned about the carb jetting and ignition timing running N/A. The blower will want the carb to almost always be jetted fatter (+4 jets sizes front and back is a good starting point) and with less ignition advance (-6* from where you ran N/A as a rough starting point).
In other words, much more conservative than you might imagine.
Running a little lean or with a smidge too much advance can be tolerated in the lower gears when RPMs are rising quickly. But the long, slow pull through the traps in top gear is where detonation becomes nightmarish with these little mini blowers. And if you step over the line into detonation parts WILL break much faster than you ever though possible.
