Before I go all in
Before I go all in
I am turboing the tpi, thats not a question. I would like to get some criticism on this turbo I am looking at and pm'd a few people about before I pull the trigger on it.

It appears to be good for a modest power level that I am looking for, the price is definitely right, and it is seemingly the same turbo that zz3astro is having incredible luck with. Please cast in your opinions!
(I understand there are better turbo's, but I also don't have billions of dollars to throw at it.)

Who knows what it really is, looks like it's probably a Chinese knockoff casting. It could be fine, it could be complete junk. Things that bother me that I see there is that the compressor inlet is by no means a current style (no map width enhancement features...), looks like a polished up crappy casting, and a real T70 should move a lot more air than the HP range they list.
I'd go with one of the brazilian knockoffs first, since people have had success with them, but to be honest I've grabbed enough name brand, lightly used turbos (I tend to like the Holsets and GT/GTA's, if you know what to look for the right sizes are out there) for much cheaper, and I know that even if they do end up needing a rebuild I can got to the local cummins power systems and get them over the counter, cheap.
