11.80sec, 82 z28 350 wants to go turbo!
hi, i have a 350 steel crank 4bolt sbc, 10.5/1 compression, gm cast iron 492 heads ,2.05 intake valve, vic junior intake, high lift roller cam, roller rockers 1.6, 750 4150 holley, msd ignition 6al , its making 450hp, and i woud like to instal a 80mm turbo from a 7.3 powerstroke, with a blow thrue carb,, is that turbo any good for me ,, 8psi is what i was thinking of,c12 racing fuel, is that possible and if so,what kind of hp woud i get. thanks!! ps... im not sure how measure my turbo, the compressure empeler is 80mm wide,,,

And your powerstroke turbo is on the small side for a high CR 450HP engine.

that comp is perfect for e85. 10-15 psi would be easy 6-700 hp with the right turbo. im not familiar with that particular turbo tho. i would highly reccomend forged pistons tho...

I wouldn't be afraid of that turbo on a stockish 350, that is probably going to be off the map without any trouble though on your built engine. Find something T6 based like a TV7/8 series, GT42, Holset HX50+ etc.
When people refer to the "size" of a turbo they are referring to the small diameter on a compressor usually. That is actually a 58mm or so head unit but the exducer is 80mm. Garrett did that for marketing on the GT series stuff which is REALLY annoying.
Use good gas or E85 and I could see low 10s into the 9s in your future without a ton of trouble.
