To be safe I would retard the timing 2 degrees per 50 horsepower added and get some colder plugs

Retarding the timing 2 degrees per 50 HP is just making it safer / engine last longer...
Don't activate it below 2800 RPM...
A fuel pressure safety switch will also save you big $$$ (ie. your engine)...

i'd use a colder plug right from the start no sence in burning a piston top off or pinging it death

I use NOS universal kit ($385 about right). Multiple jets incl. Instructions are explicit in warning to use colder plugs and reduce timing. Also only allow it to activate over 3000 rpms. There is an accessory that disallows under 3000rpms. Mine is set for 3200 rpms on and over 25 mph on. Their jetting chart is on safe side I found out.

Yep. Most directions have you jet it a little rich. They figure the normal user isn't going to have a wideband or a dyno available to get it tuned exactly. Lots of members on here have ran 150 HP shot down a stock 350 without issues.

I mean if your racing it against somebody then spray it up, if your at the track spray it up. but just to use it because you have it is unneccesary and let us know how long it lasts. It'll be good to know what we can expect from nitrous.

Re: question about TPI NOS kit...........(get in here---v)

Itll be monday before I can get my fix.... :- (

- I was spraying it to get used to it and see what needed tweaking and what else I WOULD need to run with the spray.

I adjusted the cooling system and some small stuff inc-ding bottle blanket and a bottle heater.

I also have a planned track date in 3 weeks (3 pay checks) to see what it will do. I still need to get the 150 shot jets, and a msd blaster coil because the stock ING is just plain weak.

---also have 5.3L swap plans in the mist

5.3L + 150 shot + ***** of steal = HAULEN ***!!!

I think he means he wasn't able to melt down his motor with it for no reason, so he sold the kit to me so I can attempt to melt mine down with no particular purpose in mind besides trying to break loose the rear tires.
