Paxton

I have a 91 Z-28 convertible, 305 TPI the car only has 80,000 miles on it but harsh winters up north have taken their toll on the floors and firewall. I have pulled the motor and trans so I can properly do the entire body. While the motor is out I want to do some upgrades, I added a Paxton Novi GSS about 10 years ago and it woke the car up, then about 5 years ago a B&M tranny. Car did okay but now I plan to rebuild the motor so I wanted some opinions. I am keeping the 305 so please go with that, I have heard all the ditch the 305 for a 350, I am into the idea of a high HP 305, so here is the build list.

305 - new bearings and rings, block does not have a scratch inside
True double roller set
Vortech Stealth-Ram
Vortech aluminum 190 heads 58cc straight plug
Roller rockers 1.5
Paxton Novi - being rebuilt with new upgraded impeller to add 2-3 more PSI at 3000rpm, should be 100-120 HP adder

My question is what grind on my cam, I need to get that air back out, I have headers (no polution on car any more) and a 3 inch exhust. Actually I have flowmaster but need a new system any recomendations?

So I need cam advice and exhust, thanks guys, Mike

Re: Paxton

sounds like a nice build. Id call up someone like loyd elliot , joe overton , or AI for a custom ground cam.

Re: Paxton

The most you could do for exhaust out is valve size, cam, port and if anything run off straight long headers
