TBI nitrous question
TBI nitrous question
rethinking my set up. NOS offers a tbi kit for 619, includes a nitrous plate.
Is it really necessary for good performance? I mean there are much cheaper kits that offer almost the same things minus the plate.
Im thinking the plate would offer a good even distribution of the fuel/nitrous into the manifold(as much as can be had without direct port), but are there other options?

Re: TBI nitrous question
JMO a carb intake+carb plate kit+adapter plate would be about as much if you got a good deal on the intake, you can get the adapters for about 50 bucks. If you picked up a knock off intake then you'd probably be about at the point of the kit but would have significantly better performance N/A too. Check craigslist/ebay for the intake, you see deals pop up every so often.

Would it be worth it to simply do a direct port set up in that case?
Re: TBI nitrous question
^for my above statement, direct port is a lot more expensive then either two options. So ill throw that out the window for this project now.
But carb intake + nitrous plate + carb to tbi = what positive upgrades over
edelbrock intake + tbi plate = ?
