I wanna hear some stuff to help push me.
Will be using a Holley FI system so the tune is already taken care of.
Plus the engine is ready strength wise.
I just wanna know about the go go go and the power bands you got
Want to single turbo my V8 and have the umph to pass anyone at will at 35-70MPH and have it take off like a rocket ship. So they don't have time to even react, Im already passed by time they notice.

i think he means show some single turbo setups and what mods to the engine have been done to support the single turbo and when do u feel the boost kick in. and he hates slow lol

Size your turbo to your gearing/driving habits! I know my car isn't the fastest around but i LOVE driving it and ROCKS for the way I drive. Small turbine to kick in early (2.73's in the rear) I cruz between 1.5k and 2k but in 5th gear 2.5k is moving really good! I don't crank it over 5k.
It started as a 200k miles 190 horse 305....completely stock heads to pan with the peanut cam! do the IC, Larger injectors i'm using 30's and go static once in awhile.

boost comes in around 2500rpm when i'm looking for the extra power
I haven't been beaten by anything on the road yet.
my first day out i raced a pretty healthy sounding 80's 5.0 that i would have never stood a chance beating in my lead sled.
I took a friend of mine for a spin, came off the highway and was behind a newer SHELBY mustang and wasn't sure how i'd do but I was on his rear and had to let off so I wouldn't hit him. I'm sure the poor kid went home and told his dad his car was broke or he needed nitrous cuz he couldn't shake my 'Bird!
Bottom line is DO IT!!! if my 200k mile 305 can keep me entertained you'll love it!

BANDITSBC why Im going with a Holley system, don't have the time or trust myself enough to build a FI system and program. [Its carb now] I can toss anything at the Holley system and it will keep the engine in tune with a little learn time while driving.
Whats your turbo spec's/hot air?
I don't do any high RPM racing, stall speed is 2200, got highway gears too, same driving habbits, only the V6 Bird sees RPMs above 3-4k often..

BANDITSBC, just wondering. How much boost are you running? Have you dynoed it or have any time slips yet? I'm planning something similar with my peanut cammed LB9 but with the turbo down stream.

turbo specs.. EBAY turbo 70a/r .68 turbine. it works well for me and is spooled by 2.5k under a good load about 10-12psi. turbo's are funny... no load... no spool! scared me when i first started it and saw no boost at 4k rpms in the driveway.
I don't really look at air temps that much..(i know) i figure they are what they are and tune the fuel for it. I put the intercooler on it and did notice I could add alot more timing and didn't have a ping at around 3.7k rpm (someone else had this issue too with TPI) and it didnt' break up at high rpms at the strip.
no DYNO and the strip is a sensitive issue for me! I've been twice. I told Tech " I don't know what she'll run.. maybe 9's, maybe 18's" well my first run was 19.3 @55mph my clutch had been slipping some and I wasted it @ the light. I let her cool and ran a 15.8, 15,3 14.8 14.3,,, if i kept going i'd be in the 9's in 10 more runs! I went back after i put my IC on and added some timing but the clutch just didn't hold. It's ok if I'm light on it but can't handle heavy runs.
(wiping my tears) that being said this car would spank my 84 ta with zz3 350 that ran a 13.7@106 and it started out with about 190hp and 200k miles on it last year.
