High idle and backfire after sc install
Hey everyone,
My setup is an 89 camaro with a 383 carburated small block. I just finished installing a vortech supercharger with a full msd setup. I just got it dyno tuned and they said that the timing and everything was set right. But my problem is that it idles super high (1200 in neutral and 1000 in drive), diesels when I shut it off, and back fires through the exhaust. To me it sounds like a the timing is off but I want to make sure before I go back to the dyno shop with it.

Is your carb. a blow thru set up? Where are the idle mixture screws set at? 1 1/2 turns out is a common place to start. Personally I would check the time first and go from there.
