Re: TT 4.3 build worth it?

Update, got the 4.3 mostly apart, everything but the harmonic balancer is off the front, for having 174,000 miles im suprised its not worse on the inside

i have to say the cpi plentum is the nastiest thing ive seen in awhile though

also id like to welcome a new member to my third gen family

its a 1983 trans am daytona, oklahoma car, not complete but i traded a 90 mustang with bad frame rot for it, so its all good

You should try to find a used syclone intake... Just port it to match the heads. 4.3's have potential, but it's probably easier to just turbo a V8.

Subscribed to see where this goes!

Let me just go ahead and leave this here...

i love the cpi intakes, they look so much cooler then the tbi ones. just saying though that engine is really not clean. someone never changed their air filter

ill agree the cpi intakes look cool, but as far as functionality in a performance aspect, it will never meet what i need, and what i mean by clean is that when i pulled the manifold off there wasnt 1/4 inch of sludge sitting in there, last 4.3 i rebuilt was so gummed up i was shocked it still ran the way it did
