Found a set of crate engine heads. 76cc. Any good for my turbo build?
Hey guys. Need a quick opinion on if these heads I found on Craigslist would be good for a turbo engine. They are 76cc and the number is 10147898 what I can find on them says they are 1995-1998 crate engine heads.
I'm lookin to lower my compression ratio for more boost. I figure at $150 it might be a good investment.
Also any idea what going from a 64 to a 76 cc head would do to my compression exactly??

You'd gain about 12CC chamber volume, I believe it would be worth slightly over a full point drop in compression. www.turbofast.com.au has a compression ratio calculator. Good to fudge with. Besides that what heads do you have now? The Goodwrench Quest did an engine with heads that are probably similar. Should be pretty decent, just do some pocket porting and toss em on.
