Cruiser car thats playful not a racer

Hey all, i hope this is the right area for this as i want just an opinion on a tiny power tweek, For some this tread my be a waste of time to read so i appreciate any advice.
88 Iroc 5.7 TPI - Free mods - Headers Y pipe style into a 4 inch single to the rear - underdrive pulleys- 8.5mm wires - msd coil - nothing but a stocker really.... But with this can i put a better cam in it without injector increase or EPROM flash or is it more to my liking to just add a chip and call it good until i move forward with an LS swap someday.

Thanks

We do 3 things in this section, turbos, superchargers and nitrous.

That out of the way, I'd do intake manifold mods to reflect your exhaust mods though and then get a tune on it. If you're doing a cam you can do certain ones without a chip, I still would lean against it though. Even without a cam you're probably losing power due to the stock calibration.

Re: Cruiser car thats playful not a racer

IMHO, a 4" exhaust is an overkill for just a cruiser. I believe that your bottom end will have suffered & that a 3" exhaust would be better suited for the power range of just a cruiser.
