Adding a P1SC to the mix... How will it work with my mods?

Car is currently running TrickFlow 195 heads, Accel Superram, Comp 268XFI... Moser 9", T56 with twin disk clutch... blah blah blah.

How is it going to play with my cam? I haven't decided how much boost I want to run, but I want to crank that puppy up. Goal for the car is to run 11's, unbolt the slicks and go run some auto X and such. I am running an EBL P4 ECU, I will get some bigger injectors for the install. I didn't build the engine for boost, it was actually going to just be a temp engine until I could build a forged 383, but lack of time and wanting to just go out and enjoy the car changed that. It is around 10 to 1 compression with forged pistons, nothing super expensive and I am running cheap rings I plan on trying to keep this one alive and figure out the tune. This engine is going to need to last me a 2 year tour in England

And honestly, I don't really want to tear the motor apart to change a bunch of stuff... It only has 5k miles on it. I will put on a porter superram when I go to do the injectors. I would like to hit 500rwhp. Anyone think it's possible?

Get a baseline hp where it is now. It likely will get to 500 on a very careful tune but you'll want alky injection imo. 10:1 is relatively high with small cam but if you plan on beating on this motor, heat buildup in the chambers will eventually pose a problem. Thats where alky inj comes in to cool things down.
For drag only it may be fine with just air to air intercooling. Drag is short burst of acceleration so not as much worry. Autox or sustained rpm is alittle harder on motor

Make sure you have a good fuel pump and hotwire kit. 500 is getting up there on a walbro 255

I'm running a 255 currently, I do plan on running Alky... I'll probably install a kit on my Typhoon at the same time. I would probably run the 255 until it starts holding me back.

I do have a wideband O2... Currently I would like to think on a good tune I could put out 320rwhp...

How long does 3 gallons of an alky mix usually last? I assume I would set it up to progressively spray more as rpm/boost increases?

Not sure about how long it lasts as it will depend on how you spray, how much is injected and your driving application. In a drag situation activated at peak boost probably get a lot of passes on a single nozzle type setup for your engine. Just always keep an eye on it

320-340 whp should be right for your combo. Good head good cam thats about ballpark. Especially manual trans it will dyno higher than autos. That said it should not take much boost to approach 500 so thats good. Wont really need as much alky as higher boost setups but you really are using alky for octane enhancement on that setup because of the higher comp. it will cool charge well and that helps a ton but the oct i think is a better detonation preventative on that setup

How much boost were you thinking to hit 500rwhp? I think my pulley is a 3.4, which I think is 10-12psi... Which is what I was hoping to run.

When you start deciding on injectors be sure to take a look at the ebl tuning thread first-Look for an injector that has published data to make your tuning a lot easier with bigger injectors!

Will do! How do you like your supercharged superram car? Mine should be a blast with the T56.

Agreed. I just pulled the vapor canister and started repinning for wastegate control using the canister terminals with my EBL-P4. Rauscher's EBL is awesome, user friendly would be an understatement...

You using a GM boost solenoid for that? I was thinking about using my MS for boost control rather than adjusting with springs.

Yeah, gonna give it a try. RBob has been having tremendous success with the SFI-6 boost control, so I'm gonna try it with the EBL-P4. My buddy Paul has a few MSBC-1 units which haven't been made for quite awhile, and he wants what he paid for it lol, $679.00, so before I go that route I figured I would try to control boost with the EBL...
