Only made one half decent pass. Track couldnt hold power. Ramped boost slow to save first gear. 21-22 ish psi here. Lots left in it! Oh and it was over 3700 lbs with me in it. Pig

3.42 with a 28" tire. Dyno says 155-157 mph is near 6800-7000. I didnt look at tach crossing the line. But its near peak
I need 3.23's when i turn it up, or else i hope valvetrain is stable to 7500 lol
It went 123 1/8. I thought it be closer to 130 but i couldnt lay all power into yet so maybe it will come up.
I left on 7 pounds, 6 psi per second ramp. It would take more hit but not more ramp

I only got 3.42's cuz i was in a rush to get car running with 12 bolt. Summit didnt seem to have 3.08-3.23 in stock. Oh well live and learn
Calcs say 3.42 is good to 165-170 by 6800-7000 but when factor in converter slip it appears to be closer to 157-160. Thats if slip is 5%. If 8% its 152-156 by 6800-7000

ideally id like to go with a 4l80 and 3:42 setup but its just not in the cards right now

Well i just wanted an 8 to be considered 8 sec street car. It has that easily on same power just need better traction.
Local supra went 8.4's shooting for 7's. 1220's whp. I'd now like to match or exceed that power even tho i am heavier and shoot for bottom 8's. i can get down to 3600 with me in it with skinnies and drop exhaust. Love to see a mid high 160's trap maybe even a 170. It should be doable. I should have enough turbo and injector

Re: Working the bugs out, 9.1 @ 155

Hit track other night again and improved the launch. I only ran thru most of 1/8 letting off early lol. 1.39 60' pickin up driver tire, 255/40/18 lol. Not to shabby. It should hang em good on more boost but trans fried on the tbrake. Think it was slipping and welded clutches together. I only have 3rd gear now. Trans is coming out this week

Eibach pro kit, stock 36mm sway bar, tds wonder bar, riding around umi tube k and a-arms, with adjustable tokico illuminas set to 1/5. Lightest setting. May try 2 or 3 next time to limit front end rise to give rear suspension chance to work more. Had a slight squat

Re: Working the bugs out, 9.1 @ 155
I dont believe you need fancy drag stuff to make things work. I think adjustable shocks make the biggest difference. Its a street car at heart so it has to ride on stiff handling suspension
Rear is same shocks set 4/5 stiff i think and prokit springs. 24mm sway
Time will tell tho. Still aint hooking well with more aggressive settings on boost controller. I think its still in need of suspension tuning but also drag radial issues. Its harder to hook these in heavy cars i guess. Track prep needs to be better than a bias ply or slick i hear
No drag week for me lol no interest or time in that. Too expensive

Re: Working the bugs out, 9.1 @ 155
Maybe it's time for a full fledged slick? I know guys can make the radials work but it seems like a lot of work. Stuffing as wide and tall a slick that'll fit may be the answer to what ails ya (so to speak).
As for the squat, while there's no comparison between yours and mine other than they're both lowered 3rd gens, despite having my LCAs in the lowest hole of the Spohn LCRBs, the arm is well past horizontal on the launch. I've thought of modifying the brackets to allow for further relocation of the LCAs in attempt to get the rear suspension to work a little better and help push the rear axle down at the hit.
Long live your street suspension and the big tires up front. There's something about that picture with air under the 255/40/18s that says "really?!".

I think it may have lifted both a split second after this pic was taken. Sure felt like it came up the whole way out. Lol
I will try more rear shock setting and more front to control rate of the rise. Should help along with rampin in even slower. Needs slow ramp, more initial boost hit.

Ever thought of air bags? I found them to be nice tuning aid. A little pre-load on the right side helped my 60' on a marginally prepped track.

Yup. May get one depending on how things go. Tires rub fender lip when it squats like that amd i want to avoid that. Will try shock settings and if that dont work will try a bag

before u buy air bag try this
and try not to laugh cause it really works
have an old football laying around? deflate it and stuff it in the coil spring then pump it back up to ur desired amount
if it helps then go out and get an air bag

Nice Orr!! What was the 1/8 mile ET? I would also try stiffening the rear some, I would try 2 clicks stiffer on drivers rear and 3 clicks stiffer on passenger rear....leave the fronts set to lightest setting.....

I'm only 5.96 at 123 on that pass.
Last outing i got a 1.39 60' and went 5.93 at 103 letting out early before the 1/8
