Finally decided on a turbo

Decided on the borgwarner S480 billet.. It should make my Hp goals with no problem. Ill start a build thread as soon as it and my headers arrive

Those supposively have made something like 1200-1300 hp on 6.0 cubic inches but hard to buy it, because everyone says heads lift over 1000-1100 ish in stock blocks. Maybe it was a s483 billet? Dont know the details but those are good turbos

It's doable, but not what I would call reliably. One guy I know of said he was intentionally pulling power out down track to keep head gaskets in it. (Stock 6.0 block)

Yeah no point in taking one that far if you cant seal it. But turbo has tons of airflow for a mid to large sized wheel.

I found one with 2 passes on it with the race cover for 1150. Its in the mail! Couldnt pass it up. It wasnt big enough for him.

Keep the crossover piping around 2-2 1/4 to the merge for the turbo. It will help in spooling that turbo with sich a big a/r. I did 2 1/4 for my gt45 with a 1.15 a/r.

I was gonna go 2 1/2 the guy i bought my headers from was running that with the same cubic inch but a cast s480 and was full spool at 3 grand.
