Man, that is rough! What do you think you pulled through? Hopefully it was something the engine could spit out without much harm. You check out the intercooler to see if you could find any debris?

That is one expensive wire stripper you have there! You may have gotten lucky by having the intercooler core "filter" the wads of wire and insulation. It would definitely be interesting to see what is in there.

Re: Run filters or screens with your turbo(s)

Why were you not running screens or filters in the first place?

Re: Run filters or screens with your turbo(s)

I run better without the filters from what i can tell. I usually have intakes on that places opening down under car. Filter typically goes on that but at track i have usually removed filters

Re: Run filters or screens with your turbo(s)

i've seen a couple cars with similar damage lately. i think i am going to just run a tad slower and keep filters on it. its just not worth the potential damage unless you are running a heads up class or something like that where every last hundredth counts.

Re: Run filters or screens with your turbo(s)

ur lucky the wheel didnt come apart , usually running withotu filters or screens isnt to bad as long as ur turbo inlet is under the hood , ur more likley to pick up something driving around the pits then u are on the track.

anyone rember that video of of an import iirc with the turbo threw the hood sucking up a small bird at the track
