Finally getting ready to install my NX plate system on my Z and want to know what all of you are using to seal up the threads on the system?NX recommends pipe dope(NO TAPE),but will ARP thread sealant work,I have alot left over from when I built my motor and would rather use it up than buy more of something else if it will work.TIA

It would probably work as I believe it is similar. I would just spend the five bucks and buy the recommended stuff.

l know the NOS kit comes with teflon tape thread sealant (not to be used with the sollenoids) the paste works good everywhere, you don't need to bother with the tape at all although the tapes a bit easier to apply, the teflon paste (which can be found at the hardware store) works the best. just don't go nuts with it if you want it to look nice, it turns sort of a yellowish nasty color when its exposed to the air. remember if you do decide to use tape, don't use it on any of the lines before the sollenoids.

good luck

I say you just use elmers glue I hear it works great. I mean look at it this way since you only plan to run 17's with the juice the glue will still have time to dry before the race is over. So nothing to worry about
Just kidding John I hope all goes well for you in your install. Oh ya I am getting those pics for you this weekend and I will trace out the plate for you as well...
