So a couple times a week I browse Craigslist just to see what's out there. Today, for a mere $200, I picked up an old TPI NOS kit! From what I can tell, only things missing are the gauge, and the feed line to the fuel solenoid. But here's my question... When I Google NOS TPI kit all I see is a setup with a bar in the throttle plate. The one I bought has a fuel and nitrous nozzle on each side without a bar. I plan on calling NOS tomorrow, but, did I get a deal, or throw money away??

 

It's an older NOS setup. By older I am talking 20 years or so. IIRC, In theory anyway, the two fogger nozzles will flow more than the spraybar style plate. I would assume that the certification on the bottle will be expired unless it's been hydrostatically tested. Recertifying the bottle will probably cost more than buying a new bottle. If it's the old skinny bottle unlike the current style short and fat bottles, IDK.

Even if you only got the plate, throttle relocation bracket, solenoids, etc if it's in good shape you probably got your money worth. The expensive part of Nitrous isn't really the kit, it's refilling the damn bottle. 10lbs goes wayyyyy too fast.
