Power adder fuel supply
So went on drag week this year and decided I want to.step my game up. Want to be competitive in the 10.0 class and I need around 700hp to.do that. Plan is d1sc on a 383/400 dart shp block and some sort of aftermarket tbi injection.
Looking for recomendations on the fuel system. What do you guys suggest. Twin walbro 255s(already running a single.). Big walbro 400. Sump the tank and a good inline or some kind of surgery tank? Any advice is appreciated.

Sump the tank or indeed a surge tank and then a quality pump like a set of bosch 044s. You can get cheap bosch 044 ready surge tanks that the pumps slip in.
wish I saw these before, easier than custom building everything and a super clean solution.

From what I was told, a single 400 would handle 700. Single is cheaper and easier to run. However, a fuel pump is only as good as when it's new, so what happens if you go lean under boost. Second pump would be handy. Also, everybody wants more hp, so build it so you can go up in power some without having to change things all again.

The more I research the more I think I like the idea of a surge tank with 2 pumps. One always on and another on a Hobbs switch or wot switch.
