Vortech Kit for MAF converted to MAP, recirculation question

As the title states, my 88 MAF has been converted over to MAP with EBL. I am planning a nice silicon hose intake to replace the MAF and associated dryer hose that came with the kit. I understand for MAF why once the air passes the MAF you don't want to release it. Hence recirculation over BOV vent to atmosphere. Can the recirculation valve be vented to atmosphere?

Yes you can vent to atmosphere. Most of us do.

When I had a TPI kit back in the 90's, I used rigid 3.5" aluminum to my air cleaner rather than the hvac duct that vortech supplied.

going the Silicon route for mine. Just wanted to double check if I needed to tie the recirculation valve back in.

Surprisingly enough, this caused the VE to move, in some cells as much as 3%. I can see from a previous log that my MAT temps dropped. I didn't think the system would be so sensitive.
